Welcome to Spanish 102! You will work hard, and you will learn a lot! By the end of this semester you will be able to tell stories in the past, make comparisons, and talk about shopping, clothes, daily routines, food, celebrations, and health.You'll be able to ask questions and learn about your classmates' interests and experiences. Go to your instructor's OAKS page to read a list of the NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements and chart your progress this semester. You might be a Novice High by the end of the semester!

The only way to learn a second language is through repeated, meaningful exposure to it with ample opportunities to interact with others in that language. This class will be conducted in Spanish, and you will be expected to speak only Spanish. There is no need to panic! Each one of you is capable of keeping up as long as you follow the syllabus carefully, study outside of class, and come to office hours or go to the CSL for extra help when necessary.
