Website Goals.

  4. Content on this website will be basic algebra along with an inbedded calulator written in Python or Java that has the ability to receive user input and do basic math.

  5. Math function that will be included are addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and powers at a minimum.

My Plan

Navigation Menu

The navigation menu for this project will contain the topics:

  1. A homepage which will mostly be just a landing page.

  2. About basic math and why we use math.

  3. What is algebra and why it's useful to know.

  4. What is calculus and why is it's useful to know.

  5. An imbedded calculator page with input and output.

  6. Possibly a refrence page that links to other useful math websites.

(There is an unworking basic nav at the top of this page as a nav example)

Website Host and URL

Since this website will be mainly focused on information outside of running a basic calculator. Along with not being promoted to outside sources or have any advertising. I believe it can be hosted on the school's web servers. If for some reasons that is a problem, I have some personal hosting on 000webhost I could use, but would rather not for this.

Information and Resources

I'll be gathering information from multiple sources. Some of these sources for math information will be old math textbooks. Some will be from wikipedia, using the footnoted primary sources. I will be gathering images that I do not create myself from https://www.freeimages.com/, https://www.pexels.com/royalty-free-images/, and https://pixabay.com/. If I need any from anywhere else I'll need to obtain permission to use them. I don't anticipate needing any sound for anything.
